Tiny Moon Treasures is the new name of Le Lune di Ecate, the account I created in 2017 on Instagram as a way to share with the world my love for teeny tiny magical creations.
It's been a wonderful experience so far and I've learned so much in these years. Most of all, I love the connections I've created with so many wonderful people out there.
Tiny Moon Treasures is the next step. My attempt to make a living out of my art. I hope you'll still be here with me in this journey as I try to make your world a little more magical with some polymer clay, some resin and a lot of magic dust .･ﾟ✧
Federica, December 28th 1989. Born and raised in Reggio Calabria, a beautiful city on the coast of Southern Italy, and now based in Rome.
I've been blessed with the most wonderful, loving parents and sister. They're nothing but supportive with me and my work and I'm so grateful to have them in my life.
I've always had a thing for art. Since I was a little child drawing her favorite Sailor Moon's scenes or sculpting little monstruosity with Das clay: I knew, even back then, that art in one form or another would have been the leit motiv of my life.
As a multipotential (and struggling) person, it's been really difficult to just choose one thing to do and to focus on, I'm not gonna lie.
My beloved nonna Maria once said, while she was teaching needle work and embroidery to the 5 years old me, "impara l'arte e mettila da parte". I think the closest translation of this in english is "learn a trade for a rainy day", and I lived by that phrase since then.
It made me really curious and passionate about everything art&craft related and I've jumped from one field to another for a very long time before I started doing this.
I didn't reason very much about it nor did I plan to focus on miniatures, you know? One day I just took some clay and... boom, mini mermaids! It felt right... it just clicked.
And I'm so glad it did, cause I love what I'm doing now so much!
